    MIL Badminton Tournament

    Location: Sacred Heart 
    Tournament for grade 5/6. The tournament will take place on Wednesday, May 1, beginning at 12:30 with warmups starting at 12:00pm. The tournament will take place in both gymnasiums.

    Grade 4M French Field Trip

    The grade 4 classes will be walking to lunch at Le Bistro by Liz. This is the culmination of a unit on French cuisine and interactions in a restaurant.

    National Denim Day - Breast Cancer Fundraiser

    The Grammar Community including Middle and Senior School students will be participating in National Denim Day - Cure Foundation to raise money for Cancer Research and Cancer Patient Support, Tuesday May 14th. On this day everyone is invited to wear jeans and/or something pink and also invited to make a monetary donation ($1/$2/$5/$?) of your choice in support of this cause. Donation stations will be set up throughout the school and with making a donation pick up a Pink Cure Ribbon and wear it for the day.

    Grade 8 - Discover Rowing Day (8S)

    The Grade 8 PHE classes will each be participating in a Discover Rowing Day at the North Star Rowing Club at 20 Boathouse Lane, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

    Members of Rowing Canada/ Row NS/ North Star RC will be supplying boats, lifejackets, and instruction on safety and introductory rowing skills. Highly trained guides/teachers will supervise the class at all times. 

    Each class will leave immediately after homeroom at 8:30am and walk down to the Halifax Ferry Terminal, ride the ferry to Dartmouth, and continue on walking up to the Rowing club. We will return to school by the end of the school day (approximately 3:30pm). 

    Students should bring their own bagged lunch with snacks and water. They should also bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, long sleeve shirt/sweater, long pants, a full change of clothes, rain gear, and warm clothes.

    Film Gala

    Thursday, May 23 - 9th Annual Film Gala, 6:30 pm in the MPR.

    We will be screening student films created this year from the Grade 9 and 10 Media Arts classes and Senior students. At the end of the screening, there will be awards presented as judged by our panel of film and TV industry professionals.

    PAC Annual General Meeting

    PAC Annual General Meeting (AGM):
    The AGM will take place on Thursday, May 30, at 5:00 pm. At this informal meeting, we review the year’s events and end-of-year financials, vote on a potential donation to the school, and tentatively choose event dates for next year. We will also be looking to elect new members to the PAC Executive.

    If you are interested in a position, please let us know and plan to come to the meeting!
