After School Program

After School Program (ASP) supervision is available on campus at the Halifax Grammar School throughout the academic year. 

Eligibility: Grammar students in Junior Primary to Grade 7

Time:
The ASP will run from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. for Junior Primary, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. for Grade Primary to Grade Seven each day. 
 
The ASP is not open on the days that Grammar is closed. Please check the school calendar for these specific dates. 

COMMITMENT: Children are accepted into the program on a full or part-time basis, with preference given to full-time students. Once you have registered for the program, you will receive confirmation of your space for the full year.  Upon confirmation, you will have committed yourself to this space for the full year. 

Please note: We do not offer a drop-in service. All ASP spaces must be arranged in advance.

PROGRAM: Activities include outdoor play, arts and crafts, drama, informal indoor play, and storytime.  Homework time is available for students in older grades.

BEHAVIOURAL EXPECTATIONS: ASP students must adhere to behaviour expectations outlined in the Halifax Grammar School Student Handbook. Students unable to abide by these expectations may be removed from the program. 

This program is directed by qualified personnel.

ANNUAL FEE:

Full-time $2,600.00 (five days per week)

Part-time $540.00 (per day of the week)  

All costs will be billed to your Grammar incidentals account.

REGISTRATION FEE:

Those families interested in registering for the After School Program are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per child. This fee can be paid by online banking to your incidentals account.
