Grade 5 Field Trip to Cape Breton

The Grade Fives will be traveling to Cape Breton May 31 to June 2. This has been an HGS tradition for over twenty or so years. The trip reinforces both the Grade Five Social Studies and Science programs and is a great deal of fun! While there, the students will visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, where they will enjoy a guided tour and a kite making activity. The students will also visit Two Rivers Wildlife Park and the Fortress of Louisbourg. At the Fortress they will enjoy a number of activities and lunch in 18th Century style. On the journey home students will visit Glace Bay to tour the Cape Breton Miners’ Museum.
