Here at Grammar, we recognize athletic participation as a way for students to grow and learn the values of self-discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. Athletics, both competitive and recreational, are a cornerstone of the educational process and experience. We believe students deserve the opportunity to participate and compete at levels appropriate to their skill and interest.

The Halifax Grammar School has membership and competes for championships in the following sport governing bodies:
  • Nova Scotia Schools Athletic Federation (NSSAF)
  • Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS)
  • Metro Junior High Athletic Association (MJHAA)
  • Atlantic Conference of Independent Schools (ACIS).
The entire faculty, administrators, staff, and coaches of the Halifax Grammar School work to achieve these goals and support the principles of the membership organizations.
