Grade 6 - Climbing at East Peak Climbing

The Grade 6 PHE classes will be going on a Climbing Adventure at East Peak Climbing, 6408 Quinpool Rd, Halifax, NS B3L 1A7. This adventure is part of Grammar's Outdoor/Adventure Education program as part of students' PHE course. 

East Peak Climbing will provide us with the opportunity to build trust between classmates. This experience focuses on learning rope skills, and teamwork in a challenging environment. Students will learn about different kinds of rock climbing, and how to tie knots and climb on ropes. Students will be guided by experienced East Peak staff members and supervised by PHE Teachers Mr. MacInnis and Ms. Kiley. 

Students should have a packed lunch that they can eat before getting on a public transportation bus to go to East Peak Climbing. They can bring a snack and full water bottle to East Peak, and clothing suitable for climbing. 

Tuesday, February 10 - 6 Nolan Class with Mr. MacInnis & Ms. Kiley
Wednesday, February 11 - 6 Trott-Zisserson with Mr. MacInnis & Ms. Kiley

Students will attend their usual morning classes, depart during lunch for the adventure, and return by the end of the school day.
