ACIS Super Tournament

The Halifax Grammar Athletic season started this past weekend. All four of our soccer teams and our tennis team traveled to the Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) in Rothesay, NB for the annual Atlantic Conference of Independent Schools (ACIS) Super Tournament. The school was represented extremely well, with more than 80 athletes competing in the tournament over this past weekend. 
 
Results: 
 
Jr. Boys Soccer finished with a 2-2 record and a bronze place finish. 
Jr. Girls Soccer finished with a 1-3 record and a bronze place finish.
Sr. Girls soccer finished with a 2-1 record and lost in the final in penalty kicks. 
Sr. Boys soccer finished with a 4-0 record and a gold medal result. 
 
The tennis team consisted of 18 students from grade 7 to 12. There was singles, doubles, and mixed girls and boys in three different categories of U-14, U-16 and U-20. The team had 3 first place finishes, 4-second place finishers, and 8 semi-finalists.
