Jack Farrell and Ben Gillis Compete in Pan-American Debating Competition
Ben Gillis and I have just returned from The Pan-American Debating Competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We had an incredible time in a city that is just spectacular. Both of us are part of Canada's National Debate Team (Team Canada), so we were competing representing Canada. Other countries attending included USA, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Bermuda, and Panama.
Results: Our team made it to the semi-finals out of 20 teams before being eliminated by another Canada team. That team went on to win the championship. Individually, I placed 6th out of more than 60 speakers, and Ben placed fourth. Really amazing results!
