Comment Y Aller

On May 24, Prep Three students presented Comment Y Aller, a play about a girl from Québec who wants to see her friend who lives in Paris.  She tries walking, riding in a police car, taking a train, and sailing, before meeting an alien who takes her there in his flying saucer.

Students at HGS are introducted to French in Junior Primary, and by the end of their years in the Prep School, achieve a good level of confidence with basic oral, aural, reading and writing skills. In grades three and four, the students are immersed in the AIM program, and put on plays for their parents and other classes. Portfolios of work are also sent home so that the material can be presented to family members. This year, the Prep Fours have gone so far as to not only write resumés of the play they studied, but have also taken on some creative writing, trying to imagine what happens to the characters once the play ends.
