Introducing the 2012-13 Annual Giving Volunteers

The 2012-13 Annual Giving campaign is about to begin! Annual Giving is vital to the school, providing classroom technology, art and music supplies, student financial assistance, athletics equipment, and library acquisitions that tuition alone cannot cover.

We would like to introduce you to the dedicated people who have volunteered to chair the 2012-13 Annual Giving campaign. You will soon receive a letter from one of these volunteers asking you to support the campaign. Our goal this year is to increase participation from the entire Grammar community.

Prep School – Maureen & Doug Reid
The Reid family joined the Grammar School in 2008 when they enrolled their daughter, Lily, in primary. Lily is now in Mr. Curran's grade four class. In 2011 they established a 10-year gift to support both annual giving and capital projects at HGS. Maureen is Vice Chair of the HGS Board of Governors and Doug sits on the recently established Advancement Committee.

Middle School - Terry Chisholm & Derrick McPhee
Terry and Derrick have two children at HGS: Cate, grade five and Ewan, grade eight. They joined HGS in 2004 and have been tremendous supporters of the school and our campaigns ever since. Terry is the current Secretary of the HGS Board of Governors.

Senior School/Alumni Parent - Radha Koilpillai
The Koilpillai family has a long history with the Grammar School that dates back to 1997 when their older daughter, Priya first enrolled in primary. Priya was Head Girl in 2009 and is currently a Loran Scholar at Queen's University. Their younger daughter, Renuka - also a “lifer”- is enrolled in grade 11. Radha was on the HGS Board for two terms, from 2003 to 2009.

Alumni - Doug Penick'93
This will be Doug's second year as Alumni Chair of the Annual Giving campaign. He lives in New York and is a proud HGS alumnus, regularly attending our annual holiday reception. Doug is recognized at the 'Benefactor' level of our Annual Giving campaign and doubles his annual gift through his company's matching gift program.
