HGS Tops in ACIS Cross Country

On September 19 HGS hosted the ACIS elementary cross-country running event. Students in grades three to six of Halifax-based ACIS member schools participated, including Armbrae Academy, Halifax Independent School, Sacred Heart and Shambhala School.

HGS placed first overall, with 108 points, followed by Sacred Heart with 51. HGS runners did well individually also, with first place finishes in Grade Four Boys, Grade Four Girls, Grade Five Boys, and Grade Six Boys (as well as top three finishes and five of the top six finishes in this category).

Senior School students helped organize and run the meet. Thanks to Katie Ross, Rory McParland, Kiersten Boyle, Jack MacDonald, Ankur Gupta, John Attenborough and Soleil Chahine for making this a great day for all participants.
