GirlUp is a 'for girls by girls' United Nations adolescent girl campaign which raises funds and awareness for girls in developing countries who don't have access to education, healthcare, safety, and documentation. There are thousands of clubs across the globe who raise money for adolescent girls and the money is sent to UN programs in developing countries. In November 2016, Andrea Jacob'19 started the first provincial Girl Up club. For Valentine's Day, Girl Up sold rosegrams (fresh roses with a little message), raising approximately $350.
