Students will meet in the music classroom (S125) beginning at 6:10 PM. Concert will begin at 6:30 PM with Violins performing first followed by the choir. We will hold a lemonade reception following the concert in the Partridge Cafe. School Uniforms are required for this performance.

The Prep School Closing Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. Parents are asked to bring their child(ren) to the HGS Atrium between 8:15 - 8:25 a.m., for a prompt 8:30 a.m. departure. The children will be piped from the Atrium to the McNally Theatre for a 9:00 a.m. start.

Middle School Closing (afternoon)

The Middle School Closing Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Students will meet at the McNally Theatre Auditorium and should be there no later than 12:45 p.m.

The Lord Nelson Hotel

The Graduation Dinner is our end-of-year tradition and we hope that all of the graduates and their families will join us on Thursday, June 13th. It is a lovely evening where we distribute the yearbooks, grab a signature or two, and share many laughs as celebrate the Grad Class of 2019.

The attire is semi-formal, and the dinner will take place at the Lord Nelson Hotel. The cash bar reception will start at 6:00pm and dinner will be served at 7:00pm.

Graduating students are to meet in the Grammar School Atrium between 1:00-1:30pm to don their grad gown and boutonniere. At 1:40pm, the students and faculty will then be piped from the Grammar School to McNally Theatre at Saint Mary's University.

Graduation Reception

Multi-Purpose Room - Halifax Grammar School

Family, faculty, and friends of the Graduating Class of 2019 are invited to join us for a reception after the Graduation Ceremony. We will be gathering in the Grammar School's multi-purpose room, where we will be serving light refreshments and beverages. Everyone is welcome!
