After School Program (ASP) supervision is available on campus at the Halifax Grammar School throughout the academic year. This program is offered on Grammar school days only.
Eligibility: Grammar students – Junior Primary to Grade 6
Time: Although we anticipate the ASP will run for the same length of time per day as previous years (approximately three hours), the specific ASP times of operation have yet to be determined as we are waiting for further provincial guidelines for reopening school in September.
COMMITMENT: Children are accepted into the program on a full or part-time basis, with preference given to full-time students. Once you have registered for the program, you will receive confirmation of your space for the full year. Upon confirmation, you will have committed yourself to this space for the full year.
Due to space limitations, the ASP registration deadline will be Friday, July 17, 2020, for the 2020-21 school year.
Please note: We do not offer a drop-in service. All ASP spaces must be arranged in advance.
PROGRAM: Activities include outdoor play, arts and crafts, drama, informal indoor play, and storytime. Homework time will also be offered for students in older grades.
BEHAVIOURAL EXPECTATIONS: ASP students must adhere to behaviour expectations outlined in the Halifax Grammar School Student Handbook. Students unable to abide by these expectations may be removed from the program.
This program is directed by qualified personnel.
