Track & Field Update

Please take a moment to have a look at the impressive list of updates from our Track and field team results from this season and more specifically this past week at the Provincial Championships in Sydney, Cape Breton.
-HGS team scored the most points of all 26 schools at the City District Meet
-HGS team scored the most points of all 52 schools at the Capital Region Meet
-intermediate boys team was the Capital Region Champion
-Senior boys team was the Capital Region Champion
-HGS team was the Provincial Division 3 Champion
-HGS team scored the 4th most points of all 134 schools at the Provincial Championships
-Intermediate boys team placed 3rd at the Provincial Championships
-Senior girls team placed 3rd at the Provincial Championships
-HGS team members won a total of 11 medals at the Provincial Championships
-12 HGS T&F records were set during the season
A massive thank you to our coaching staff who went above and beyond once more. Mr. Peter Beazley and Ms. Jill Kiley stood out in the rain for close 12 hours on Saturday and then hopped on a bus filled with students to travel home. They arrived at back to the school at 1:30am Sunday morning.
