Grammar participates in the ACIS Basketball Tournament

The annual Atlantic Canadian Independent Schools (ACIS) basketball tournament was held from January 19 to 21. There were four divisions in the tournament that were held at four different gyms throughout Halifax.
The annual Atlantic Canadian Independent Schools (ACIS) basketball tournament was held from January 19 to 21. There were four divisions in the tournament that were held at four different gyms throughout the city of Halifax. 
 
Jr. Boys Division - Hosted by Halifax Grammar School
Participating teams: Kings Edgehill, Sacred Heart, Armbrae Academy, Halifax Grammar B team. 
Division Winner: Sacred Heart defeated KES 58-45
 
Jr. Girls Division - Hosted by Armbrae Academy
Participating team: Kings Edgehill, Sacred Heart, Armbrae Academy, Halifax Grammar A and B teams. 
Division Winner: Sacred Heart defeated Halifax Grammar 60-48
 
Sr. Girls Division:  Hosted by Sacred Heart
Participating team: Kings Edgehill, Sacred Heart, Halifax Grammar Sr Girls and JV Girls, and Rothesay Netherwood School
Division Winner - KES defeated Rothesay 62-49
 
Sr. Boys Division: Hosted at Sacred Heart in the Fountain Gym
Participating team: Kings Edgehill, Sacred Heart, Halifax Grammar Jr Boys and JV Boys, Rothesay Netherwood School, and Selwyn House School from Montreal, QC. 
Division Winner: Grammar JV Boys defeated Grammar Jr Boys 58-55 in an exciting competitive game. 
 
In total there were six different schools competing against one another for a total of 52 different games over the three-day tournament. A big thank you to all the students, coaches, and Athletic Directors from all of the participating schools for a great tournament.
