Examination Room Rules and Procedures
           
  1. All exams begin at 8:30 AM. Doors will lock at 8:30 am for the 5-minute reading period.
 
  1. Latecomers will have to wait until the reading period is over to enter the exam room.
 
  1. All exams must be written in ink, except for the math exams. However, pencil and colour pencils are allowed for the drawing of graphs, charts, maps, or diagram.
 
  1. Backpacks, binders, and other personal effects must be left upstairs in student lockers. (Do not bring these items to the exam room or leave them in the hall outside of the gym. Be careful to lock up things during exams. Unfortunately, things regularly go missing during exams.)
 
  1. No food or drink is permitted in the exam room, except for water in a reusable bottle.
 
  1. No pencil cases are allowed. Extra pens, pencils, rulers etc.… should be in a clear zip lock bag.
 
  1. Students are not permitted to have their cell phones during the exam. Cell phones are to be turned off and placed on the table at the front of the exam room.
 
  1. Students are not permitted to leave during the exam. (Use the washroom before the exam!)
 
  1. Students may not leave until at least one hour has elapsed.
 
  1. Students must be in their seats 5 minutes prior to the start of the exam.
 
  1. Students must be silent whenever they are in the exam room.
 
  1. Students must sit in a row designated for their exam. There will be a list of rows outside the exam room. Make sure you sit at table with the correct exam.
 
  1. Students should only leave their seats when they have completed their exam, are preparing to leave, and have been given permission to leave.
 
  1. There will be a silent 5-minute reading period prior to the beginning of the exam. During this time no work is to be done. This means you are not to use a calculator, pen, or pencil during this reading period.
