HGS Closet Sale raises $4500 for Laing House

Thank you to our wonderful HGS community for uniting to make our first ever HGS Closet Sale fundraiser a huge success. The event was truly a community effort, and would not have been successful without the help of countless numbers of people. From everyone who generously donated items for the sale, to the volunteers who helped sort piles of clothing, to the amazing team who worked the sale and the customers who came out to shop and the faculty and staff who tirelessly helped us, we were a true team. We would like to also say a special thank you to Gordon Stirrett Wealth Management for believing in our cause and giving us a head start with their community service grant, and to the law group of Boyne Clarke for their generous donation of $1500. We are happy to report that HGS Closet was able to donate sixteen large bags of unsold clothing to Phoenix programs and raised a total of $4500 to donate to Laing house.  We are humbled by the support we received, and are honoured to make these donations to organizations devoted to helping youth and young adults in Halifax get the support and respect they deserve.
