All parents of the Halifax Grammar School are invited and encouraged to attend the AGM on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00pm in the Meinertzhagen Theatre, Tower Road Campus. The AGM notice, Nominating Committee Report and Proxy form have been emailed to parents and can be found in the online parent directory. If you are unable to attend the AGM, we would be very grateful if you would complete the proxy and return it via fax to 902-404-3839, or scanned and emailed to

David Morency Wins NSLI-Y To Study Chinese In China

David Morency, S2 has been awarded a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship for 2012-2013. The NSLI-Y program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students to learn less commonly-taught languages. The NSLI-Y scholarship enables David to study Chinese in China for the summer. Through his participation in the program, David will be in the vanguard of international communication and will develop the skills necessary to be a leader in the global community.
