Clubs/Extra curricular

Where students flourish and teachers inspire

Clubs/Extra Curricular

The Halifax Grammar School believes clubs and extra curricular programs are an essential component of a complete student experience. Students are strongly encouraged to join any of the existing clubs at HGS or start one of their own. Taking part in a club allows students to have fun and interact with other students who have similar interests.

In recent years, students have started clubs that focus on Chinese culture, guitar, gardening, table-tennis, politics, chess, urban art, film, street hockey, and soccer. Students can also choose to become a part of one of Grammar's more formal organizations and take part in an exciting theatre production or play in a concert band. Grammar students have the option of joining a club that competes against other schools such as the always dominant Debating Team, The Improv Club, or The Math Club. At HGS, there is a club or an organization for everyone.
