Jubilee Gala Dinner and Dance ~ May 30, 2009
A Grand Celebration and Financial Success!
Our signature event of the Jubilee year was an outstanding success, surpassing all expectations and raising an unprecedented $175,000 for the Jubilee Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Bursaries. The extraordinary efforts of all the volunteer teams led by Patricia McDermott, Chair of the Gala Committee, created a gorgeous spectacle and splendid entertainment for the 530 guests who came beautifully dressed and ready to party! Topping off the evening’s impressive fundraising was the announcement of the magnificent gift of $100,000 from Gordon Stirrett to endow an HGS Community Service Award. Combined with the other generous donations received during the year for endowment, this added another $175,000 for a total of $350,000 raised for Endowment.
The Gala was fun, festive, and full of wonderful memories to last until the next fifty.

A Jubilee Year of Accolades and Achievements 2008-2009
The Jubilee Year of the School, marking the 50th anniversary of our School’s founding, was celebrated at every level of the HGS community. It was truly a year like no other at HGS, presenting a golden opportunity to celebrate 50 years of achievements and to recognize the contributions of many individuals to the School’s success and reputation for excellence. It also provided a unique opportunity to focus on fundraising for
endowment.
