Our Senior School Girls brought home the NSSAF Division 1 Basketball trophy on Saturday, March 6, 2010 , after beating our city rivals 63-61.

Tessa Stamberger netted 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds; Denesha Sule scored 16 points; Rachel MacLean, in her final year as a Gryphon, scored 13 points.
In the provincials, we beat out Horton in the semi-final and Auburn in the 1/4 finals.
Rachel MacLean, S3, has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Metro High School Girls Basketball League, in a unanimous vote of the league's coaches.
Rachel, who along with Alison Conrad, S3, and Tessa Stammberger, S2, was also a league all-star, led Grammar to an 11-3 record in league play, good for second place. She was a key to HGS winning its second NSSAF Division 1 provincial championship, and was also MVP of the Grammar Classic and an all-star at the Blizzard Invitational in Quebec.
Rachel, a high honours student, is the second Gryphon to be named league MVP, after Justine Colley.
Thanks for making us proud!
