German vocabulary comes alive as students are able to link to the interactive website that accompanies their traditional text. History students are able to relive Hannibal’s victory at Cannae. Social Studies students link with schools from around the world to learn about the relationship between latitude and temperature. Physical Education and Health students are moving beyond a traditional PowerPoint presentation to complete an interactive web quest for their term project.
These are just some of the examples of technology in the Grammar School classroom, made possible with the acquisition interactive smart boards. The touch-sensitive display connects the computer and digital projector to show the computer image on the 5’ by 4’ screen. The teacher or student is then able to write on the image, change the screen and save it for later use. The leading edge technology is opening the door to another new Grammar Experience.
